How to Get Yours

1. Visit Your Local DMV or License Commission
   Contact your local DMV or license commission during regular business hours.

2. Order Online
   Visit the Alabama Department of Revenue's website. Click on "License Plate Information" and then "Distinctive License Plates."

3. Personalized Options Available
   For a personalized tag, ensure your desired letter/number combination doesn't conflict with existing ones. Check availability online and order at any License Commissioner's office. A personalized tag costs $50 per year plus standard fees.

Once approved, complete the paperwork and pay fees within two days at a License Commissioner's office. You’ll receive a temporary tag, valid for 60 days, while your permanent plate is manufactured and shipped directly to you within four to five weeks.
